A MEMORABLE BOOK LAUNCH

My Country My Life was launched by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, former President of India, in New Delhi on 19 March 2008. The impressive function at Siri Fort Auditorium, attended by over 1,500 distinguished citizens, was presided over by Shri Bhairon Singh Shekhawat, former Vice President of India and a colleague of L.K. Advani's since the early 1950's. The key speakers at the event were Shri Mohanrao Bhagwat, General Secretary of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS); Shri Jaswant Singh, senior leader of the BJP; and Shri Cho Ramaswamy, renowned journalist and Editor of Tughlaq. Shri R.K. Mehra, owner of Rupa & Co, publishers of the book, welcomed the guests. L.K. Advani's daughter, Pratibha, presented the vote of thanks.
